Scope of work:

The System Administration Department primarily provides:

• the operation of the ICT server rooms in the RCU and Jinonice premises,

• the administration and development of server infrastructure and data storage for services provided by the ICT,

• the administration of virtualization infrastructure,

• the administration of servers at the level of operating systems,

• the administration of servers in the ICT CU domain (servers HANDYMAN, DOLPHIN etc.),

• the administration of servers in the JINONICE domain (servers AJIFS01, AJIMS01, etc.),

• the administration of selected servers for D&R agendas,

• the backup and recovery of data of selected university servers.

At the same time, the department provides the following services:

• the operation of the CAS CU Central Authentication Service (https://ldap.cuni.cz) and the identity of the IdP CU provider,

• the provision of LDAP services (user authentication, user information source - relations, cards, contact information),

• the provision of mail services for the CU (incl. backup MX server) and the support of faculty administrators of these services,

• the provision of e-mail and webhosting for the CU workplace without its own servers.
