Valid for devices running Linux
To configure the connection, your device must be online.
You can either use a hotspot from your mobile phone or perform the setup in advance on another trusted network, such as your home network.
Have your eduroam login credentials ready.
If you have not yet set your eduroam password or do not remember it, log in to https://ldap.cuni.cz and in the left menu Other accounts / Set password for eduroam realm cuni.cz set a new password or check what you have set. The password for CAS does not work here . More information
Using geteduroam for other Linux distributions (.deb, .rpm, etc.)
1. Download and install the installer either from the Software application (pictured), which is used to install applications on your system, or from the website https://www.geteduroam.app . Both will download and install the package in Flatpak format:
Click the Search button in the upper left corner:
In the search box, type geteduroam:
Click Install:
And then tap Open:
2. Type charles in the search box and select the institution Charles University:
3. Unless otherwise instructed, select the eduroam profile:
4. Enter your eduroam username and password and click Add Profile:
Tip: The username has the form your_person_number@cuni.cz (e.g. 12345678@cuni.cz)
5. If you see this message your eduroma profile has been added, you can now close the window with the button in the top right:
6. Now in the top right (if you are using GNOME) click on the Wi-Fi selection and check if you are connected. If not, select eduroam and the system should already connect you.
1. Go to https://www.geteduroam.app and select GitHub from the Linux menu . You can also go directly to GitHub.
2. From the Assets download the installation package for your distribution, e.g. geteduroam-cli_linux_amd64.deb.
3. Install the package according to your Linux distribution's conventions. Usually, you just need to double-click on it and the package installer will start.
4. Now launch Terminal or another command line application and type the command geteduroam-cli and press Enter.
5. The system will guide you through the next settings, which may look something like this:
