Temporary shutdown of Charles University Web applications and the WhoIs database

Today, May 15th 2025 Charles University Web applications and Whois database will be unavailable.

Estimated time: 8pm - 10pm.

The shutdown is scheduled due to security updates.

List of affected services:

• Charles University Web applications (https://is.cuni.cz/webapps), for example.:

  • WhoIs

  • Office hours, requests for leave of absence

  • Payslips downloading

  • Charles University Grant Agency

  • HelpDesk (https://helpdesk.cuni.cz)

• Create new persons in WhoIs database

• Database connections and database services connected to WhoIs database

• Personal data exchange between WhoIs a EGJE systems

• Web pages presenting on-line data from WhoIs database

• Cards database

• Some parts of SIS (study information system)
