Who is affected by the transfer:

This concerns only users who have a student email account in the AD domain JINONICE, i.e., using the address login@student.cuni.cz.

Brief description:

On March 1, 2024, the transfer of your student email account in the Jinonice domain to the central university M365 cloud is planned. For reading and sending emails, you will further use the link https://office.com or an email client (e.g., Outlook – see instructions below).

Detailed related information:

Each student will receive a new e-mail alias in the form jmeno.prijmeniXXXX@student.cuni.cz, and will be informed about its creation by email immediately after the transfer. The original email address login@student.cuni.cz that you have been using will also be preserved. If you wish to send emails from the cloud environment using this as sender address, it is necessary to set up this address as the primary sending email after logging in at https://whois.cuni.cz. Instructions on how to transfer emails from the old environment to the new M365 account can be found below. Logging into the original account in the Jinonice domain for the purpose of transferring content will be possible until June 30, 2024, but receiving and sending emails will only be functional in the M365 environment.

Warning:

By transferring the email account from the Jinonice domain to the central university M365 environment or setting up a new address jmeno.prijmeniXXXX@student.cuni.cz, the automatic configuration of this address in the Student Information System will not occur.
