Central administration of accounts and passwords

            For all Charles University employees, students, and external users (Charles University ide

            holders), an account is automatically created in the Central Authentication Services of th
            University (CAS). This account enables access to central university applications (especial
            University Information System) and can be also linked to computer networks at faculties in

            users have just one username and passwords for all networks and applications of the Charle

            Central authentication service offers:

            • the acquisition of a login name and password,
            • verification of identity needed to access sensitive systems,

            • possibility of resetting a forgotten password,
            • synchronisation of an account with faculty systems,

            • the possibility of using the university account to access external services via the eduI

            All user accounts are accessible using  the CAS gateway [ URL "https://ldap1.cuni.cz/langu
